Biggest loophone in pro-BJP AARAA survey on Telangana

Update: 2022-07-14 04:57 GMT
The AARAA survey has exposed one major weakness of the BJP. If the survey report is accurate,  it means the BJP is growing in popularity in Telangana. The survey claims that the BJP votes may rise beyond 30 per cent. This means the BJP will push the Congress to the third position in the state.

However, the survey also reveals that the BJP has strong and winnable candidates in only 29 of the 119 assembly seats. This means, despite growing popularity, the party does not have winnable candidates.  So, at the time of voting, a voter may vote for a party with higher winning chances against the TRS rather than to the BJP, which has fewer winnable candidates.

Also, some of the claims made by the AARAA survey are baffling. For instance, the BJP polled just about 4 per cent votes in Nagarjunasagar byelections, in which the TRS has won hands down. The survey team now claims that the BJP has 25 per cent support. The question is – how can the BJP get an additional 21 per cent votes, without having a strong leader? Also, what programmes did the party undertake in Nagarjunasagar to witness such a hike in popularity?

Highly placed sources say that Team PK's survey has given a single digit number to the BJP if elections were to be held immediately.  So, despite the hike in popularity, the BJP may not gain electorally.  Lack of strong candidates may actually sink the BJP. This is the sum and substance of the survey report.
