The Prime Minister's Office of the concerned nation took to social media to announce the news of conferring the highest civilian award to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Buddhist kingdom Bhutan honored the Indian Prime Minister with the Highest civilian award Ngadag Pel gi Khorlo. The announcement was made on the same day when Bhutan is celebrating National Day. The official Twitter handle of the Bhutan Prime Minister's Office shared the news by sharing the picture of PM Modi with its PM Lotay Tshering.
52-year-old Lotay Tshering, who has been holding the Prime Minister's office since 2018 had shared the Facebook post made by PMO and expressed his happiness over his counterpart being honored with the highest civilian award.
"overjoyed to hear His Majesty pronounce Your Excellency Modiji's @narendramodi name for the highest civilian decoration, Order of the Druk Gyalpo,â the Bhutan Prime Minister tweeted.
The Bhutan PMO said the award will be presented to the Indian Prime Minister in person. Though the PMO announced that the honor will be presented in person, the date of the same was not mentioned. The date of the ceremony honoring Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to be announced soon after asking for his availability.
