Chandrababu & KCR to meet on Sept 21st

Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti asked Chief Ministers of Telugu States to be present for the first Apex Council meeting scheduled to take place on September 21st.

Initially, The meeting was supposed to take place on September 19th. KCR, however, conveyed that he couldn't attend the meeting due to Assembly sessions and urged to delay it by two days. Uma Bharti finalized the date upon seeking the consent of two Telugu CMs.

TRS Government has taken up construction of Palamuru and Dindi projects to divert the Krishna waters. AP Government is opposing them for the sake of Farmers of Krishna Delta. Supreme Court ordered Union Water Resources Ministry to convene an Apex Council Meeting to resolve the issue of T-Government using Krishna waters beyond the limit. As a result, Uma Bharti convened the meeting to settle inter-state water dispute.
