India will be signing a deal with Japan for the first ever Bullet Train in the country between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. An official announcement in this regard is expected during Japan Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's India visit on Saturday.
The Bullet Train project with 505 km railway line between Mumbai and Ahmedabad costs $14.6 billion. Japanese PM will offer a loan of $8 billion for this ambitious project. After the deal gets finalized, India will hold a tender for contracts.
