Lack Of Job Security...Techies Changing Life Style!

Update: 2019-06-06 17:09 GMT
Until recently, There used to be an assumption among public that life style of Software Professionals is the most colourful/preferred way of living. This is because of the 5 digit salary soon after graduation, 5-day work, weekend parties and what not. Software has become more like a lifestyle in India due to the high paying jobs and party culture.

Gradually, New Job Opportunities have been reducing and Lay-Offs kept increasing. In March 2015, A multi-national company served pink slips to 35,000 employees at once. If a software professional loses job, He/She will most likely end up facing financial crisis to decreasing bank balance and the burden of EMIs.

Recession in 2007 ruined the lives of many Software Professionals. That impact made many Techies realise that there is no job security in their field. 12 Years later, A clear change is being noticed in the lifestyle of millions of Software Job Holders. In the past, IT Professionals used to splurge money on tours, parties and shoppings. And now, Most of them have been focussing on 'inexpensive' recreational activities.

Until few years ago, Software Professionals used to be keen to obtain credit cards of as many banks as possible. But now, Most of them have been getting rid of credit cards and focussing on savings. Earlier, Techies used to plan how they should be celebrating weekend on weekdays. And now, The focus is on how quickly they could complete the project for keeping their jobs safe and how much can be saved by the end of the month.
