Parvathamma Rajkumar (W/o late Kannada Superstar Rajkumar) passed away in the early hours of Wednesday.
Reportedly, Parvathamma (77) was undergoing treatment at MS Ramaiah Memorial Hospital for multiple-organ failure. She suffered a cardiac arrest at 4.30 AM. Doctors have declared her dead at 4.40 AM after all their attempts failed.
All the three sons of Parvathamma (Shivrajkumar, Raghavendra, Punit) were beside her when she breathed her last. The eyes of Parvathamma were donated as per the wish of her husband Rajkumar. Even Rajkumar's eyes were donated after his demise in 2006.
The mortal remains of Parvathamma will be placed at Poorna Pragna Grounds for people to pay last respects. Cremation will happen near Rajkumar's grave at Kanteerava Studio Today evening.
Parvathamma married Rajkumar at the age of 13 on June 25th, 1939. She produced over 80 successful films and introduced many heroines to the Industry. Kannada Film Industry will miss him a lot!
