All of a sudden, Red Flags appeared in the land which was believed to be that of Congress MP Renuka Chaudhary. That's when the news of Renuka using the Government land to mass wealth broke out.
Three decades ago, Renuka Chaudhary obtained 43 acres in Palvancha of Khammam district from State Government on the pretext of providing employment for the poor by establishing an Industry. She, however, didn't start the Industry till date and used the land for mango plantation. Even though Governments have changed, Renuka used all her influence to protect the land and her close contacts with Sonia Gandhi came in handy.
CPM launched a protest demanding State Government to recover the land bank from Renuka Chaudhary and distribute it to the poor. As the issue was brought to the notice of Collector, Instructions were given to the Revenue Officials to conduct a survey and take action against the encroachers.
