India's badminton champ Saina Nehwal says at times she feels her career is on the verge of retirement due to the injuries she has to deal with over the years. 'People think my career has ended and I won't be back in action. That's okay! Sometimes, I myself feel if it is the end of my career. Due to the pain I suffer after getting injured, The happiness is limited even if I win a tourney,' she commented.
A week before leaving for Rio Olympics, Saina Nehwal developed a knee problem. Its because of this reason she couldn't play to her full potential and had to make an early exit from the tourney after defeat in second match.
Recently, Saina Nehwal has undergone a knee surgery. She is making a comeback with China Super Series Premier scheduled to take place on November 15th, 2016.
Saina wishes to focus on her body and the aspects in which she isn't strong enough. She wants to think about her action plan for the next one year instead of worrying about what's gonna happen in 5-6 years.
