Telangana government working on Covid-19 vaccination drive!

The DCGI has approved two vaccines for emergency use in India with some restrictions. The statement about the same was issued by the body on the 3rd of January.

Addressing a virtual event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that a massive vaccination program will be started in the country very soon to vaccinate the public against the pandemic.

With the center giving clarity on the vaccination program, it is believed that the Telangana government led by Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao is gearing up for the vaccination program.

It has been widely reported that the state government is aiming to vaccine 10 lakh people at a time once the vaccine is rolled out in the state and the preparations are underway.

It is also said that nearly 10,000 health care personnel have been trained in the state to facilitate the state government's aim to vaccinate 10 lakh people at a time.

Like the other states, Telangana will also give a topmost priority for the frontline warriors and health care workers in the vaccination program in the first phase of the program.

The time slot will be given to the healthcare workers and warriors to vaccinate them. Based on the time slot given to them, the vaccination drive will take place reportedly.

However, there is no official statement or confirmation from the concerned officials on the expected vaccination drive. We will get more clarity once the government comes up with a formal announcement.

Earlier, Telangana has conducted the mock drill for the Coronavirus vaccine drive with the other states and Union countries going by the instructions of the union government.
