India's 100 Armed Drones to tackle China

In the wake of intrusions of Chinese troops at the border, India is keen on acquiring as many as 100 armed & surveillance drones from US. The deal is believed to be costing any where around $2 billion for India.

India sought latest unmanned aerial vehicles to keep surveillance on the Chinese troops at the border. Also, Predator XP drones which were basically used for internal security and to combat terror threats.

United States is yet to make an official announcement regarding offering of Predator-series of Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) to India. Governments of both the Nations were hopeful of finalizing the deal within the next four months.

Predator-series of Remotely Piloted Aircraft offers high-definition radar and electro-optical/infrared coverage along the border of India over both land and sea.
