It looks like the layoff trend is not over yet. Companies irrespective of their sizes are going by sackings and removing the employees. Recently Starbucks Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Laxman Narasimhan was removed. His stint with the company did not even last for a year. A new CEO replaced him.

If we look at the bigger picture the experts say that the recession fears might have gripped the United States as 74 CEOs working with various companies have been fired in just 8 months.

A report said that as many as 74 CEOs were removed. However, there is a bigger picture as per the data of the Exchange.com report that as many as 191 CEOs of different companies left their respective sides. Out of them, 74 CEOs were forced to leave.

Experts say that the fears of a possible recession in the United States are not over yet. This is the reason why the companies go for the layoffs. For the past few years, we have been seeing companies including the giants sacking employees to make the workforce crisp.

The trend of sacking CEOs has been going on since 2017. However, there are ups and downs in the numbers. As many as 26 CEOs were removed in 2017 followed by 66(2018),64(2019),52(2020), 32(2021),62(2022),70(2023), and 74 in 2024.

The numbers talk about the bigger picture and how the companies are going for layoffs. We have to wait and see whether the trend will go down in the coming years or not.
