Telangana Government’s New Conditions For Film Industry!
It looks like the new government is also doing the same and we have seen the big films going for ticket rates hikes
The Telangana government has been supportive of the Tollywood industry. Whenever the industry needs a favor the government does it. It looks like the new government is also doing the same and we have seen the big films going for ticket rates hikes. This is a good sign for the industry.
However, the film industry should follow a rule if they want to get a price hike or any benefit from the government. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said this and urged the film industry to come together for a good cause.
Drug abuse has been a big concern and we are hearing incidents of the Police busting rackets and arresting people. The government is dealing with the issue with an iron fist and strong measures and being taken. Now Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had put a condition before the film industry.
“I have a suggestion for celebrities in the film industry. You come to the government for the G.O. to increase the movie ticket prices. But our government feels you are not following your social responsibility in controlling social issues like cybercrime and drugs. I am suggesting our officers. If anyone comes with the application to increase the movie ticket prices, they should follow a condition,” he said.
The condition is that they should release a two-minute long footage with the stars in the film on controlling cyber crimes and drug abuse. This is a pre-condition. I am asking the officials to see that the condition is followed no matter how big the person is. The facility is given only when the condition is followed. They are taking so much from society and they should give back at least something as their responsibility. From a business point of view, it is good to increase the ticket rates as a big budget is spent on the film. But what about society? I am requesting Cyberabad Commissioner Avinash Mohanty to place the request before people when they come for shooting permission, he added.
