What Will Happen To Sankranti Releases?

Update: 2020-11-02 05:28 GMT
After a long break of nearly seven months, the shootings have kick-started again. With the government granting permission to reopen the theatres with 50% occupancy, many filmmakers are hoping that things would become normal by January. But the Telangana government hasn't given the orders to open the theatres and talk suggest that the big screens will be running once again from December in the Telugu states.

This is worrying the filmmakers as many big films are planned to hit the screens during the Sankranti season. If the theatres don't run with full capacity by January, all the releases such as 'Vakeel Saab', 'RED', 'Krack', 'Most Eligible Bachelor', 'Rang De' and others may face heavy losses. There is no clarity over the situation of theatres in Telugu states as of now and everyone are quite eager to find out what happens in the coming days. Insiders say that the bigwigs of Tollywood may soon meet the Chief Ministers regarding this.
