Over 300 Kids Catching Covid In Six Days In Bengaluru Makes Authorities Worried!

Update: 2021-08-12 05:33 GMT
Adding fuel to the predictions of the experts about the possible third wave hitting the country, as many as 301 children have contacted the Covid virus in Bengaluru in the past six days.

The data of the number of infections among the kids was issued by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), which says over 301 children were infected with the respiratory disease.

The fresh infections is a big concern not only for Karnataka but the whole country as well given the reason that as per the predictions of the experts, the third wave is likely to have an impact on children more.

To be precise on the number of infections detected among the children, around 127 kids below the age of 10 were found Covid positive, while as many as 174 children whose age will be between 10-19 have come in contact with the virus.

What's even more concerning is that the Karnataka health department has reportedly termed the situation alarming and predicted that the cases among the children might go up even further if the timely measures were not taken, reports claimed.

The concerned authorities have appealed to the parents to see that their kids won't step out from their house with the prevailing situations being scary in the city.

Looking at the main obstacle, the authorities and the governments will face in keeping the kids away from Covid is the children cannot be vaccinated against the Covid as of now.

Going by the fact that trials of vaccines which can be administered to the kids were not conducted, the present vaccines cannot be given to them.

In order to administer vaccine doses for kids, a special trial should be done and the trial should give encouraging results, which should be then approved by the Drug Authority. This is a time taking process.

The Karnataka Health Department said, the state reportee 1,338 fresh cases in the past 24 hours while the state's caseload rose to 29,21,049.

Karnataka has as many as 22,676 active cases of the novel Coronavirus in the state while 37,848 patients lost their lives to the deadly virus so far.
