The much-talked-about case of rebel YSRCP MP K. Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju, which caught the attention of the entire nation has reached the Supreme Court on Friday. The Court heard his bail petition.
As a major sigh of relief to the MP, the Supreme Court granted bail to him. Citing the medical report of the MP's medical examination, the apex court said, the possibilities of mistreatment to him cannot be ruled out.
While granting him the bail, the Supreme Court directed the MP to not give media interviews and call for press conferences till the investigation is this case gets over. He cannot show his injuries too.
The Supreme Court said, the MP should cooperate with the investigation and to question him, the Investigation Officer should send him notices not less than 24 hours prior.
If the MP was to be questioned, by the Investigation Officer, the questioning should happen in the presence of the MP's advocate.He should also furnish a personal bond of Rupees one lakh and provide two securities of the like amount before the trial court within one week.
As another relief to RRR, the Apex Court approved the MP's appeal challenging the orders of the High Court, which asked the MP to move the Trial Court. Taking on the jurisdiction aspect raised by the Court, the Supreme Court said, High Court said this, as the MP moved the High Court instead of the trial court.
