India Likely To Approve Vaccine Dose Of British Pharma Company For Emergency Use!
Despite the new Covid-19 infections coming down in India, the total toll of the pandemic infections have surpassed the huge benchmark of one crore and stood at 10,099,066.
The rise in fresh cases have shifted the country's focus to the discussion on when will the potential vaccine to cure the Coronavirus will be rolled out in India to get things back on track.
Now it is believed that the union government might approve the Oxford/AstraZeneca's coronavirus vaccine for emergency use to tackle the situation. The approval might be given by next week likely.
If India gives a nod for the emergency use of the vaccine developed by the British-Swedish multinational pharmaceutical company, the nation will be the first to approve the vaccine for emergency use.
It has to be noted that, the union government is in plans to vaccinate the public of the country with the vaccine. Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan hoped that the first vaccine shot might be out by teh first week of January.
Reports claimed that India is in favour of the AstraZeneca-Oxford as the vaccine shot is relatively cheap compared to other vaccines and the vaccine need not be stored at extremely cold temperatures like the other vaccines.
On the other hand, the vaccine doses developed by US-based Pharmaceutical company Pfizer Inc and Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech are also in consideration for emergency use reportedly.
