Update: 2022-02-12 09:04 GMT
Adding new districts for easy governance was one of the main promises made by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy before the general elections in Andhra Pradesh. Without forgetting the promise, the Chief Minister is focusing on executing the same promise.

The decision announcing the new districts was made by the Andhra Pradesh government already which in turn resulted in new demands from the people.

However, the government is said to be strong on the decision and has been working on it without making any noise.By the time, the exercise is started in a full-fledged manner, the government wants to address the objections.

It has been widely reported that the government wants to start the exercise on the eve of Ugadi. With only a week's time left for the deadline, the government had reportedly issued directives to the concerned authorities to look into the required aspects and finish the work.

Media reports say that the Andhra Pradesh government wants to finish the work in a way that no issues or troubles arise. For the same reason, the government is carefully drawing boundaries between the districts.

The division of employees and other aspects are being monitored by the Chief Secretary reportedly. He is reporting to the Chief Minister on the developments that are taking place in connection with the row.

Making sure that no issues will take place in the future, a special committee is said to have been constituted which will look into addressing the issues that might pop up.

The Andhra Pradesh government had announced the decision to add new districts to the existing ones. With the emergence of new districts, the number of districts in the state went up to 26.

The districts were formed on the basis of the Parliament constituencies in the state. There are 25 Parliament constituencies in the state. However, one extra district was added as the Araku Constituency is very vast in terms of the area.

After the announcement was made, a few objections and demands were made. A demand came from Vijayawada that the district should have the name of Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga not NTR.
