BJP To Leave The Burden Of Under-performing MPs Behind?
The Bharatiya Janata Party rose to massive success in the 2014 Lok Sabha and there is no looking back from then
The Bharatiya Janata Party rose to massive success in the 2014 Lok Sabha and there is no looking back from then. The party won two back-to-back Lok Sabha elections and it expanded its wing in many states where many might have not expected. BJP even came to power in the Northeastern region.
Now the party is all set to face the big task as it is gearing up for the Lok Sabha elections which are slated for commencement in 2024. But the road to the election win might not be that easy due to various reasons. The opposition parties came under one roof and formed "INDIA" to take on the BJP.
On the other hand, the BJP is carrying a certain negative image and political observers say that the party might go through a tough time with the negative image and following this, the party leadership is said to be taking safety measures.
As the BJP wants to go past the number of seats it won in the previous elections, the leadership is reportedly in plans to get rid of the burden of non-performing MPs and they would not be given a chance in the next elections.
Media reports say that more than 60 MPs might not get the ticket this time and the MPs are from the northern states. However, they might be considered if their image improves given the change in their work. It is said that they are not taking part in any activities.
BJP took the elections quite prestigiously and it is not leaving any stone unturned in this regard. Picking the right candidates and sidelining the underperforming candidates are being focused by the BJP leadership.
The Party leadership is closely monitoring the performance of the MPs and based on the same they would get the tickets. There are two possibilities in this, one is that more than 60m MPs who are in danger of losing their tickets might get a chance if their performance improves. The other possibility is that the list of MPs who might not get the tickets would increase if the candidates won't work hard.
